General Improvements

Now you can have multiple insurances listed.

  • The Insurance Screen now accommodates multiple insurances with various types of insurance such as Primary, Secondary, Prescription, Dental, and Vision.
  • The Insurances feature is now available in both the Free Edition and the Pro Edition.

Insurances now include a Start Date and an End Date

  • The Insurances section now allows you to enter an insurance that will start at a letter date
  • Insurances that expire can now include an End Date.

Now you can attach documents to specific entries

  • Currently, the Document Attachment feature is available for the following categories:
    • Allergies
    • Doctor Visits
    • Conditions
    • Insurances
    • Treatments
  • While some of the above categories are accessible in the Free Edition, the Document Attachment function is available in the Pro Edition only.
  • Documents previously saved in the Documents section can be used as a Document Attachment at any time.
  • Previously saved documents can also be shared across entries as a Document Attachment.
  • More categories for this feature will be added in future releases.

Custom fields are now available in Social History

  • You can now add up to two custom fields, such as “Caffeine” or  “Illicit drugs”, in the Social History section.

The Note field has been expanded for several categories to support multiple lines of text

  • The expanded Note field is now available in the following categories:
    • Conditions
    • Allergies
    • Contacts
    • Notes and Questions
    • Doctor Visits
    • Treatments
  • More categories for this feature will be added in future releases.

The Contacts section now has an expanded Relationship field

  • The Contacts section now has an expanded Relationship field with more specific options like Next of Kin, Son, Daughter, etc.
  • The  Relationship field can also accept custom relationships if  they do not exist in the list of selections.

Custom specialty titles for Practitioners are now saved and presented in popup list

  • Custom specialty titles can now be entered for Practitioners, and are saved and presented in popup list.

The window size used in the previous session is now remembered at start-up.

  • MedZuse now remembers the window size (if resized) of the previous session when the app is restarted.

The Date is now required on Doctor Visits

  • The Date is now required on Doctor visits to help better identify the record.

The MedZuse Data files have been moved to the AppData folder

  • We have moved the MedZuse Data files from the ProgramData system folder to the AppData system folder. This move should prevent any permissions issues, which may cause the database to become read-only and prevent new entries.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed: In the Medications section, if a Start Date and/or End Date is entered, the On Hand Quantity is automatically adjusted only after the Start Date and only before the End Date as expected.
  • Fixed: In the Reports, the Doctor Visits section was overlapping the header information
